OneUp Components EDC Tool System - a steerer tube or frame pump tool box
OneUp Components EDC Tool System is the name of the clever solution for all those who do not want to carry important tools in their backpack. The EDC Tool (Everyday Carry Tool) can be hidden in the tapered steerer tube and thus makes use of exactly that free space that nobody has ever thought to use before. Alternatively, you can store it, very simply and practically, in the OneUp Components mini-pumps for on the go. EDC includes a multi-tool, chain tool, and tire lever and is ready for use at any time with just a few hand movements.
A special headset cap (not included) is screwed into the steerer tube instead of the star nut using the cassette tool and pretensions the headset. The tools are clipped into a plastic housing for transport and simply inserted into the steerer tube. A further hollow cylinder, which offers space for cable ties, patches, or other small parts, can be connected. Alternatively, there is also room for a CO2 cartridge.
The OneUp EDC Tool-System is very safe and protected against rattling and falling out. It has already been successfully tested by Richie Rude in the Enduro World Series.
- Since the Top Cap is screwed into the steerer tube, the steerer tube must be threaded for installation using the tap kit. Therefore only aluminum steerers (not carbon or steel) are suitable for the installation of the EDC tool!
- All compatibility information and installation instructions are exclusively from OneUp Components. Using the EDC Tool System on your bike may void the original manufacturer's warranty.
- If you don't want to store the EDC tool in the steerer tube, the OneUp Components 100cc or 70cc pumps are great alternatives.
When purchasing in combination with an Ibis or Yeti Cycles bike, we offer free installation so you do not have to purchase the tap kit.
