dw-link suspension

The Ripley V5 uses dw-link suspension with 130mm rear travel. Frame geometry and the recommended suspension are detailed in the other drawers.

FAQs & compatibility

Fork compatibility

The standard fork travel is 140mm. Ibis supports 130–150 mm forks; check axle-to-crown length and the intended setup before changing.

Shock and wheel compatibility

Shock size: 210mm x 52.5mm. Coil shocks of the specified size are supported. Use the correct flip-chip position for a 29-inch or 27.5-inch rear wheel, and retain the specified shock stroke.

Tyres and storage

Most 2.5-inch tyres fit; maintain 8 mm minimum frame clearance. The STOW tool bag accepts a pump up to 184 mm long.

Chainring clearance

Confirm clearance for round and oval rings. Round rings: 30–34T; maximum recommended oval: 32T.
